Chauncey Nickson completed two pieces that will be heirlooms in our family. The two pieces of artwork were of my children and hang proudly in our home.
The detail that Chauncey was able to capture in the drawings were
amazing. He was able to show the kids personality in the pieces and it
appears that those boys would be able to jump off the canvas and come to
life.
I will utilize Chauncey in the future for portrait work because of his
passion that he puts into his work and willingness to go above and
beyond for his customers.

Chauncey,
I remember when you mentioned that you were thinking about drawing an angel and how I got excited about that idea. Knowing you for a while, I really wanted to own one of your original piece of artwork. The angel was a perfect piece for me. I remember paying for it even before I had even seen the beginning of it. When I saw the rough "draft" of it at
your gallery showing, I liked it but it wasn't what I had imagined. I remember looking at it and getting closer to look at the detail. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it. To hear the comments from others that I knew who were at your showing made me even more excited to see it completed. When I saw it finished (you brought it in for me to see before you had it framed) I was amazed! It had come so far from the draft that I had seen. I was able to go up to it closely and look at the fine detail that you put in the clothing and how you had perfect shading on the wings, the clouds were a perfect fit, etc. I could go on and on. Once framed, it was huge! Instead of taking it home, since I am at work so many hours, I wanted to enjoy it there. Every day I look at the beautiful angel on my wall say, "Thank you for bringing this talented person into my life." I can enjoy the beauty of his work and have a daily reminder of more important things in life.

I bought the Dennis Rodman piece, showing him flying horizontal to the ground, diving for a rebound. I was drawn to it as I had clipped this particular photo out of a magazine and thought it depicted Dennis' total dedication to his game. He sacrificed his body to be the best rebounder in the league. I've been a long-time fan of Dennis, but no longer follow the NBA as I did in the days of Dennis, Scottie and Michael. So this piece keeps fresh in my mind the enjoyment I had in watching Dennis and his antics on the court. The quality is good too. Was it the realistic look? You captured the essence of Dennis' dedication, and detailed the amazed faces of those in the crowd watching it happen live!

My portrait is so lifelike it is amazing. Ever last detail is so detailed, from my eyes and lips, to my hair (which Chauncey will gladly draw again). It catches everyone’s eye the minute they walk into my family room. Amazing detail with a subtle hint of him his vision of how he sees me makes my piece one of a kind!
