Portraits are the ultimate manner in which a collector can communicate with an artist of their desire. When an individual approaches me and asks me to capture them, they have the intentions on showing their work to all of their friends and loved ones. It's not just an image of them but a period in their lives that they are asking to be portrayed.
I strive to include my customers in the portrait assignment. I ask them questions about their lives, hopes, dreams, aspirations, and the like. I want to make certain I do not only capture the visible aspect of them but their inner being as well.
I am often asked if I can complete a portrait of other subject matter as opposed to people. My response is a definite yes. I have depicted an individual's house as well as a wife's pair of boots that her husband loved to see her in!
